Hindi is the official language in India and widely used within the country, and lots of people overseas are learning it now too. So if you think it is necessary to learn this language, never hesitate at all! Just go and learn it! Once you are serious in learning it, you should choose some sound methods, including audio and video.
I suppose you love to use the free online lessons or some online courses not free. Why do you love to use them to help you speak Hindi? It is because this way can be easy and good. Entering such a website, you will notice that the site offers lots of lessons that can be used for a long time. But such lessons are not messy, but well-organized indeed. You can choose the first lesson to start your journey. In the first lesson you must learn how to speak all the Hindi letters. Assume, if you didn’t know the pronunciation of each letter, could you understand this language later? Of course not! So you should find the lesson with audio materials, you will understand the words and meanings of the sentences by listening to them carefully. This is the way to begin.
Next you had better extend your view to more things. On the internet are many amounts of listening materials, which can help you speak Hindi well. As far as I know such materials are divided into different classes. Some are suitable to the Hindi beginners, some to intermediate learners, and others to advanced speakers. So you can choose the meterials according to your personal level. But you should industriously practice them as you get them.
This is the audio for your Hindi practice. But to learn to speak this language, you can also use the video.
Also there are a great many video materials online, which record the basic Hindi knowledge as well as the deep culture points of India. You can watch and listen to them at the same time. When you cannot understand what they speak, you can guess their meanings through watching the moving pictures. How good it is! One of them is Rosetta Stone Hindi software.
Using this software, you can learn Hindi pronunciation, basic Hindi words, proper grammar, sentence structure, and writing. But you will never learn this language in a messy order, but in a neat sequence. In the beginning this software helps you read Hindi letters, then vocabulary, then sentence and speech. This way is similar to the way you learn your mother tongue. Besides, within this software are some Hindi exercises which may help you comprehend Hindi more deeply. But don’t think this software has only one kind, instead it has other kinds, including Rosetta Stone Polish, Rosetta Stone German, Rosetta Stone Arabic and so on. You have the opportunity to learn more languages.
If you have some interest in Indian culture, you can try to learn as much as you can, for this is another way to speak this language with much more fun and convenience. You will understand this language more deeply than others.

Our names in Hindi

Yay! We had our names written in Hindi on the passenger list. Luckily they had an English translation of it.. cause to me they all looked the same.., but atleast now I know that my name looks like in Hindi
This was on the trip from Mumbai to Margao by train. The trains in India are by far the best way to travel if you’re not in a rush. If you’re in a rush then fly, but if not then take the train. They’re comfortable, not too expensive and you get some amazing views. And I loved the fact that you can just sit and look out the window as the world races by.

Us in Hindi

Sean and Anjali in Hindi.
Sean is on the left, Anjali on the right. I am trying to learn how to write our names in as many Indian languages as possible. I think one day they will make great his and hers coffee cups.
Believe it or not, Hindi was not the first script I learned how to write our names in, Malayalam was.
Naming a kid Sean is child abuse: no one can spell it in the States and no one can spell it here. Regardless of which language you pick, people are confused over how to spell it.
Hindi Newspaper Background

My husband travels to Indonesia and Thailand on a regular basis and many times the gifts he brings home are wrapped in newspaper pages.
I tore this graphically interesting Hindi segment out and sprayed it with a shimmering coating then inked the edges with sepia stamp ink.
I plan to use it as the base for a traditional paper collage, but decided to scan and post it for those who like to make digital collages.
I think it will make a wonderful overlay. If you find a way to utilize this piece, please leave a sample of your work in the comments! Enjoy!
